As I sat recently, scratching my brain over what to write for my next blog post, my mind frantically scouring the various sources of creativity. You know; books I've read, social media posts I've seen, or even recent movies, and TV shows I've watched. That's when a sweet and unexpected source of inspiration struck me - why not use the scripture cards that were given to me by a dear friend for graduation?

I love when it's peaceful around me. Not a sound in the room. Except maybe Kuruk's soft little snore while he takes a siesta beside me. It's usually in these peacefully moments that I feel the Lord's guidance most profoundly. He drops seeds of inspiration in my heart, and like a good sized pebble that just plopped into a pond, the ripples of thought start rolling outward. This particular pebble led me to a rather sparkling idea: why not create a series of blog posts inspired by these meaningful scripture cards? The concept seemed more than perfect to me.

So, here I am, embarking on this little scavenger hunt, with the first scripture focused on Love,
Ephesians 4:2:
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love."
This verse resonates deeply with me. It serves as a beautiful reminder of how to treat others, embodying humility, gentleness, and patience. It's a guide that realigns my focus on something that truly matters in my behavior, not just today but every day.
This verse isn't just a collection of words; it's a reflection of a way of life, encouraging us to embrace love and patience in our interactions. Here comes the hard part. It instructs us to extend grace and mercy to others. Grace and mercy are not earned, they are given. And we aren't just born with the ability to give them.

In fact, I was chatting with a friend today about how patience and humility do not come naturally to me. They do not come naturally to any of us. These virtues are skills that need to be developed, much like learning to ride a bike, play a sport well, or learn how to play an instrument beautifully. Yes, patience and humility are a virtue, gifts from God, but they're gifts that require effort and practice to master and develop into your character. It's about making a conscious choice to be patient, and to be humble enough to admit our flaws, and then have the desire to improve on them. Good character isn't just magically bestowed upon us by God. He gifts it in a way that ensures it becomes a part of us. He instills these virtues when we show the desire to seek His help and direction, and then we put in the effort to practice and hone these skills. It really is a divine process - He gives us a heart to ask for these gifts and then teaches us how to use them through life experiences and trials.
Isn't it profound? We're not just passively receiving these virtues; we're actively participating in a process of self-improvement and spiritual growth. That's the beauty of God's gifts. He's not just handing us something and then leaving us to figure it out for ourselves; He guides us through a journey of acquiring and mastering that trait.

Okay, now I'm really excited! I want to learn more about how to truly love others the way the original Author intended, and this verse is just the beginning. It's an invitation to delve deeper into understanding and living out these virtues. If you would like to join me, let's embrace this journey together. Let's explore, practice, and grow in these blessings of patience, and a humble and kind heart. We can discover how to love others in the most authentic and original way.
How bout it, you want to continue to uncover the blessings hidden in these scripture cards? I'm excited to do this with you, learning and growing together in faith and character! We can embark on this wonderful journey of spiritual enrichment and personal development, and it will be guided by the wisdom of God inspired scripture. Now that, is real self care!
Oh... there it is! 🥰

Look at the adjectives, tender, quiet, demonstrate, generous, and then...who may try your patience. I laughed at that but isn't that truth?
Beautiful work here! So I looked this verse in my Bible.
