As we rounded off our Thanksgiving week with family dinners and precious time enjoyed with loved ones, Sunday came around, and the urge to pull out tubs, bags, and boxes marked with Christmas began tapping on my heart. So, I hopped up that morning, filled every wax warmer with seasonal cubes and before long, this little cabin in the desert wafted with the warm rich aroma of cinnamon and cloves. We turned on our favorite Christmas movie for some added festive background and went to work taking down fall, setting up the tree, and separating the inside decor from the outside decor.
I feel the excitement of the season starting to build just thinking about all of fun and festive plans we must be sure to do this year. Out of all the baking, gift wrapping, and Christmas lights gazing moments that definitely needed to be checked off, a quiet and consistent thought whispered in the background of all those other bustling thoughts,"bless others."
Amidst all of those much louder thoughts this small steady thought held its ground and I know it to be true that in this season of joy and giving, it's essential we reflect on the profound impact of generosity. Whether it's in our time, our attention, or resources. Giving is not just an act of kindness towards others; it's a reflection of God's character, and it blesses our own lives in unexpected ways.

When we give without expecting anything in return, the experience transcends mere transactional interactions. There is abundant blessings in giving without worrying about our own sufficiency or seeking return of some sort. This selfless approach to giving allows us to experience a deeper, more meaningful connection with others. It mirrors a trust in the abundance of life and a true belief that our needs will be met, even as we focus on meeting the needs of others.
The Bible consistently urges us to share our blessings, talents, and gifts with others. In doing so, we don't just fulfill a moral duty; we participate in a divine act of spreading God's glory and goodwill. Our gifts are not merely for personal gain or satisfaction; they are tools for service, meant to be shared and used for the greater good. This truth is beautifully encapsulated in 1 Peter 4:10, which reminds us of our responsibility to use our God-given gifts to serve others, not just ourselves.
There is a miraculous quality to generosity. When we invest our gifts into others, these acts of kindness don't just add; they multiply. They create ripples and ripples of goodwill and compassion that reach far beyond the initial act. This multiplication of joy and blessing is even more requisite during the holiday season, a time traditionally associated with giving and sharing.

As stewards of the gifts God has given us, we are called to use these blessings to enrich the lives of others. This stewardship is not a burden but a precious privilege, allowing us to be instruments of God’s grace. By using our gifts to bless others, we not only fulfill our divine responsibility but also open ourselves to receiving God's blessings. These blessings may not always be material; often, they manifest as joy, peace, and a sense of fulfillment that comes from serving a purpose greater than ourselves.
Let's challenge ourselves! Every moment of this holiday season, ask yourself a simple yet profound question: "Who can I bless right now, and how can I bless them?" The answers might surprise you, and the act of blessing others will undoubtedly enrich your own life. It's in the giving, the sharing, and the loving that we truly embrace the spirit of this joyous season! Finding that the greatest blessings often start in our hearts and extend outward in a beautiful, never-ending cycle of generosity. It's such a beautiful design!

It is obvious to see that the blessing of giving to another is a two-way street that enriches both the giver and the recipient. A Devine gift for our shared humanity, an affirmation of our ability to make a positive impact in this world, and a sweet reflection of God’s unending grace. Give yourself the most wonderful gift of a generous heart and open hands this holiday season. Live out the true meaning of 1 Peter 4:10. Use your gifts to bless others and, in turn, discover the blessings you'll receive back. Blessings that cannot ever be taken away from you. Blessings that will last throughout your lifetime, and beyond that. Immeasurable blessings that are worth more than the most precious stones in the world. Blessings that will inspire you to share with others all over again and again.
May you be abundantly blessed the holiday session my friend,
Much Love,
Heather 🥰
